no, it damages your lungs, makes your clothes stink, makes your breath stink, eliminates your taste buds, and there's a possibilty of getting lung cancer, not to mention secondhand smoking. I live with a smoker so I know

No - it is not only bad for you but also bad for anyone around while you smoke/after you smoke. The smell stays on your clothes and your breath - I won't even mention!@

No, no way, is just plain stupid. Unfortunately a lot of emotional things can get linked to it. That's what the cigarette companies try to do, because if you think about the actual experience itself is horrible. It's just like alcohol. I'll call doesn't taste that good really if you separate all the emotional images surrounding it like fun with your friends.
Yes. It shows a lack of self-control which I find endearing. And I feel threatened by people who are better than me so I like it when someone has an imperfection.

Also, whilst most non-smokers aren't all self-righteous and smug about the fact they don't smoke, some of them are, and that is annoying. If you are a smoker, you definitely can't be one of the annoying group of non-smokers. And that is slightly cool.
