How did you get rid of Claustrophobia?

Answers:
The same way you get over any phobia. You do the thing that scares you until you get used to it. You don't have to lock yourself in a dark closet immediately, although you should soon get to the point where that won't bother you. You can ease into it by doing something that bothers you a little and working your way up.

face your fears
Go to a Psychologist or Therapist yhttp://mentalhealth.about.com/library/weekly/topicsub4.htmou can also try online therapy or hypnosis
therepy, its a psychologic problem
Start small.. Do something like put the cover over your head for brief intervals and work your way up.
It's a state of mind so just push past it. It's like when you are afraid of the dark when you're smaller. You get over it, don't you? That's how I got over it. But if it's a really serious case, get professional help.
go to your doctor and ask for medication that you can take when you are in a claustrophobic situation. i dealt with it for years and could not find anything else to work except a xanax
I was in a public service video as a teen for anti-drug use and I had to spend some time in a casket. Also, I used tanning beds as a teen and just talked myself into no fear about it because I figured that I didn't want anything controlling me.

I still prefer not to be in tight spaces but I don't fear them or avoid them anymore. Deep breathing and positive self-talk works wonders for many fears in life.

Usually you are playing a record of thought over and over in your head that intensifies the fear so stop the record and put on a different tune.
if you are locked in small area that is dark and you cannot get out for a long time

then you might get it

some people just have it
