im having really horrible dreams.?

theyre often of me having weird physco powers where if i look at someone a certain way, they split in half or their head rolls off and they start squirting out blood. its really scary and even if i read of watch something happy i might still have one of these.

i put this in mental health because mental is like our brain, right? and brains equal nightmares. but anyways, if anyone knows how to stop these without telling me to get down and pray or spend money, please tell me.

Try having a small high protein low fat snack about 30 minutes to an hour before going to bed. If you are having a low blood sugar episode in the night then your brain could be trying to wake you up to get food into yourself.

The snack should give you enough boost in blood sugar to stay level most of the night.

If this works, then you may want to check out www.hufa.org for basic information on low blood sugar.

change your focus to something else and this issue will go away
Don't munch so late at night. That's what gives me bad dreams
I can't rate it because of my level, but Pegasus90, is on the right track.
Was exactly what I was going to recommend.
Check out this website. It tells you what your dreams mean. It's total crap but if nothing else, its fun!

Maybe you are really anxious about something and it's manifesting itself through violent dreams. Monitor what you are eating and drinking during the day (drink more water, eat less dairy) and also the ritual before you go to bed. Warm baths are relaxing, maybe a cup of SleepyTime tea (has mint). If you have a CD or tape player, play something soothing like gentle ocean sounds, or classical music. Go to bed earlier than normal and relax and rest before you fall asleep. As you're falling asleep think of something pleasant that you'd like to dream about and float away. If you start to have the nightmare anyway, will yourself to stop the movie (mind trick) and start over with the pleasant dreams. And honey, a little prayer would do wonders. Don't knock it until you've tried it.
try reading something good and that makes you happy or smile.put good thoughts into your mind before going to sleep.i do have night mares at times and why i do not know.i found out one time though it might be because of some medicine i was taking at the time.just try to relax and think of something good and happy.and i hope you do start resting and quit having nightmares..you may have to see a doctor though if they continue.you might try over the counter sleep aids for a while to and see if they help you..try not to let things stress you out.which i know in this day and age it is hard.especially with everything you need to do almost take money.so good luck and hope you have a good nights sleep with no nightmares.do not watch any scary shows for awhile either.
Listen,im not an expert on dreams or any thing. But there is one thing that u can't question and that is the power of praying.Im writing this cause u seem to have no faith in praying. And im not one of those people preacing and going around telling people doom is near but i was a pretty messed up person and someone on this site told me that if i need an inspiration all i have to do is turn any page in the bible and pray.and guess what.i am now focused and inspired and energetic and i am getting things done.God is the answer to any and i mean any of our problems.Trust him and believe in him and ask him and just sit back and watch his miracle and love work in ur life.I promise u, those dreams will disappear in no time.Try it, you have nothing to loose and let me know the result.God bless you
maybe you want control.
There is something you are unable to overcome at the subconscious level of the mind. there is a trigger there which seems to be locking you up at a certain level and need to eliminate it.
We all dream each and every night. Sometimes we remember our dreams and sometimes we don't. You usually will remember your dreams if you wake up immediately after dreaming.

Since you can't stop dreaming, the trick is to try and sleep past them.

Exercise everyday, although not right before bed. Avoid caffeine and smoking. Empty your bladder right before retiring.

Hope this helps!
nothings wrong with you, but maybe you should see a physiologist??
Pegasus 90 said it all ~!
HA well it sounds like your going through something rough or just went through something rough, because these dreams translate into anger at yourself for not doing something right or doing something wrong, or they also translate into somebody hurting you. They may be nightmares and they may be gruesome but they are healthy. The sooner you find the root of these dreams the sooner you will be able to get rid of them.
does the dream end or is it interupted You must finish the dream and stop the bleading
Call me sick if you want but those dreams sound quite good. It's quite rare for people to be in control in their dreams, more usually they're running away, or unable to run away.
I would suggest you have significant psychic power.
So don't try to get rid of the "bad" dreams, accept them, they'll pass.
Get down and pray or spend money?! Funny.

Dreams are thinking in pictures. Don't eat sugar before you sleep.. and focus on good things.
After I helped out in NY with Sept. 11, I had terrible dreams for a long time. My therapist suggested to get into bed, lay down and think of a small white dot, just keep watching it until you fall asleep. Completely drain your brain of any ideas and just focus on this white dot in a complete black void. It really worked for me and after a few weeks I was bad dream free. Good Luck!
