Is there a way to control add without drugs?

You can do exercises to help you focus. Here is an exercise I learned in highschool to help me with a similar problem.
Sometimes it is hard to settle down and begin doing reading and homework. This focusing exercise is beneficial for directing attention and calming down.
1. Hold your hand down by your stomach, palm facing up. Study the lines in your hand as if you were studying for a midterm. Try and memorize each line.
2. After you feel you’ve got it, close your eyes and try to remember the details of your hand. When you lose the image, open your eyes and restudy your hand. Do this for 2 or 3 minutes.
3. You may think that looking at your hand shouldnt make a difference, but try it. When you are done, you'll feel focused, calm, and alert!
This may sound unrelated, but you might be able to get rid of your ADD symptoms by eating better. Don't drink sodas and stop eating lots of sugary foods and drinks. Don't drink energy drinks either, and cut down on the fried foods, like chips and french fries. Try not to eat so much fast food.
Now...get yourself a superfood supplement to replace the drugs. Try Miracle Green or just type "green drink" into google to find a bunch of possibilities. Studies show that kids who get better nutrition are able to concentrate better and stay calmer. Check it out for yourself!
You can try by changing your diet and sleeping habits and holding yourself accountable. That means when you start to get hyper or stop paying attention learn to say to yourself, "Okay, this is my add. I need to focus." Yes, it is easier said than done and it will take a few years to develop this ability.
My partner had severe adhd when growing up. He's since learned to focus when he needs to, but when it comes to real studying he'll still want a Ritalin although he does not take it regularly because those meds are just for the class room.
At 13, school doesn't matter so much. You can afford to mess up, so try refusing the medication and see how it goes. I know a lot of adults will tell you that school is the most important thing right now, but it's not. You can still go to a good university without ever graduating high school and elementary and high schools don't even teach you what you can't learn yourself. It's just baby sitting. Relax. If you hate your meds, try other techniques.
Do talk to your parents about this. Your doctor or psychologist should know some alternative treatment options.
Yea, there are natural ways to help with everything, they just don't help with everyone, but they are worthy a try. Some people say to eat only natural raw, foods with no preservatives, additives, or prepackaged foods... all this modification to our food doesn't help. T.V. is very bad for add also. Frontal lobe of the brain is affected by too much T.V. watching. Try classical music, it is great for the frontal lobe of the brain. You really need to research this out with your parents. They can help you. Natural doctors have so many different approaches, research them all first.
