Can bipolar disorder cause adult bed wetting?
Has anyone else had this happen to them. Is there anything I can do to help it go away?
Thanks

Not that I know of. But the medications used to treat it may have those side effects.
I would check the medications you're on (if any) and find out if they have those side effects as part of them. Also, a lot of the anti-psychotics & antidepressants used to treat bipolar are fatigue causing medications, so it could just be that all of the drugs are making you so tired you sleep right through your body's natural warning mechanisms.
I'd talk to your pharmicist or psychiatrist.
Good luck!
i dont think so
No sounds like bladderf prostate kidney or some other problem
Highly unlikely, unless the depressive phase is so bad that you don't even want to bother with things like getting up during the night when you feel the need to take a pee. (It is possible, I suppose -- if a depressed person can 'just not feel like eating at all' for three or four days, they can 'just not feel like getting up to go to the bathroom.') Having bipolar disorder doesn't mean that -every- health issue you have is linked to it; see a doctor and ask about possible treatments.
some of the medications prescribed for bi-polar disorder [and depression] can cause a deep sleep wherein you fail to awaken to get to the bathroom.
Cover your bed in plastic.
Talk to your doctor- a change in dosage or medicine may be needed.
in some people
Never heard of it, but Im only me.
lithum salts are used to treat BPD
This affects your kidneys. If you are taking lithium, this could be a dangerous situation. Make sure your psychiatrist knows asap.
Seems like you need blood tests to monitor lithium levels. You may want to contact your pharmacist asap.
Pffttttttt...No wait Im sorry tsk tsk teehee ahhahahahah AHAHAHHAHAHHAHA... Im sorry I shouldnt laug..lau..la ahahahahhahahaAHAHAHAHAHAH
It could be the medicine you are taking to treat the disorder, sometimes they knock you down too much, that you can not wake up to go to the bathroom in time. Also lithium sometimes causes a syndrome that manifists with excessive drinking/urination.
I really don't think so. I have more of a subconsciously emotional disturbance in the time frame no matter what your age. My son stopped at 12,,,me 18..just when you decide not to be lazy anymore
Medication possibly. Talk to your pharmacist, or doctor, about the specific medications you are taking and have them help you. Make sure they take the time to give you a good answer.
