are you talking about schizophrenia, schizoid personality disorder, or schizotypal personality disorder? there is a difference.
those with schizoid or schizotypal personality disorder are more likely to work in an industry or job that requires little to no human contact. but that is if they are stable enough to hold a job in the first place.
as far as people with schizophrenia go, they are not usually able to hold a job at all. they are either homeless or in homes where others help take care of them.
