Answers:
No,
It's against HIPPA laws which regulate what everyone else can see about our health care, and treatment.
Thats private information so no they wouldn't know
No. That is very confidential information. The only people who should know are your bf, whom ever he chooses to tell, the hospital and his insurance company.
The answer is NO. They need permission!
If your BF signed any kind of documentation that allows access to medical history then they maybe able to find somethings.
No..It can only be court sanctioned.privacy laws
Chapaton is correct; HIPAA laws protect your employer from getting this information unless he tells them or signs a waiver to his HIPAA rights. Generally, the only time an employer will ask you to waive your HIPPA rights is when they are providing you with a "reasonable accomodation" to satisfy the Americans with Disabilities Act; an employer has a right to have proof that the disability exists. In this circumstance, however, he can specify which medical providers are allowed to give information. And these situations are handled by an Employee Assistance Plan, and the information is protected directly from the employer. The EAP will only provide to the employer whether or not the disability has been supported by medical professionals. Check this link for more information:
By law, a person's medical history is confidential: under the HIPPA Act, hospitals aren't even allowed to acknowlege to anyone if a person either has or is currently a patient in their care.
No is the right answer, but my employer had me sign a paper when I started working there as many do apparently that he used to find out what hospital I was at. So I doubt they will but It's not unheard of.
not unless they have a signed health release from you. HIPPA won't allow your med info to be released to anyone without your knowledge and written consent.
they would never find out. It's called confidentiality.
