How do neurotransmitters impact behavior?
Answers:
that is a really big question. check out the link i have provided to the wikipedia article about neuropsychopharmacology (whew! that is a long word).
By speeding up or slowing down message transmision for one.
By releasing chemicals that affect mood.
Short answer:
Any damage of or interference to neurotransmitters will cause changes in the way we move physically. People become more 'jumpy', for one thing. They seem nervous.
They also ARE more nervous because the feedback signals they are getting are sometimes out of sync or confused or incomplete, making them react inappropriately to stimuli.
And that's just a short answer.
It's also a good reason not to snort cocaine or its related drugs.
however they want to impact behavior, really, everything you do.
