Can a person who had strong ADHD on her teens ,still have it have it on her 40's?

if left untreated yes. however if you treat the disorder while in your teens and continue to treat it as needed until your 40's your symptoms will be stabilized.

Well you can have adult ADD, like you see in the Strattera commercials. I think its possible.

Yes! ADHD is caused by the way your brain works. And, unfortunately, your brain stays relatively the same over the course of life. Actually, in order to be diagnosed with ADHD as an adult you have to have had symptoms when you were a kid.

As a side note, research has found that in women ADHD symptoms can be related to estrogen levels (higher estrogen levels usually decrease symptoms). If you have had kids and noticed that your ADHD was better while you were pregnant this is probably why. It also means that when a women with ADHD starts menopause her symptoms might get worse.
