Are there any resources for those who are recovering abusers?

I was just wondering if there is anything out there for the abuser? I know this sounds odd, but what if someone was honestly sorry for their actions and is riddled with guilt? Are there any resources? groups for therapy? books? anything?

being a self- recovered addict myself. I can tell u that i was full of guilt for many things i did, and really just had to work through my problems on my own by bettering my life, once i was doing positive things, i felt like my addiction was just a life lesson. But if you really need help, try AA or NA meetings in your area. also, you can go to your local hospital and ask to talk to someone who can give you information about group counseling, outpatient programs etc. also, your local human services department(where you get food stamps, wic, etc) can give you lists of therapists and counselors that are free or very cost efficient to help you through. if worst comes to worst, go to your local school or college to talk to a counselor, or local police station, they will have information to guide you in the right direction.
