extremely sore from working out, need help?
I play collegiate baseball and we started practice 3 weeks ago. I have been doing great until the past couple of days. I am extremely sore in my legs. I stretch, eat properly, drink the right amount of water, and they are horrible sore. I don't have time to take days off since we are in practice. is there anything I can do or take?
Answers:
keep stretching and playing your legs will get use to it. as soon as u stop and your legs rest u will feel so much more sore u got to work thru it
Take a bath in epsom salts, and of course Ibuprofin.
continue to practice.. but dont push yourself so hard in the weight room for a few days..work on your upper body some
Take a very warm bath and get a massage.
i would try taking pottassium pills and a protein shake
You probably have been over doing it. Taking tub baths with Epsom salts might help. And drinking a glass of water with teaspoon of baking soda has been know to work.
I think a long hot soak in the tub/jacuzzi is called for. You can also take Tylenol to help reduce some of the pain.
Soreness comes from use of musles that haven't been tested.
Make sure your body gets all the necessary things to keep it fit and healthy, stay away from additives and drugs.
When I get sore, I generally try working a little harder.
Sounds crazy, but I have an Aunt who constantly complains about stiff neck or spasms, and she doesn't work for a living.
Re-hydrate and a good soak afterward would help.
stretch, eat alot of bananas aleve is god just don't over do it or get addicted or anything.
but yea
Your muscles are trying to heal, because when you're that active with sports your muscles will tear then reheal themselves.. take a nice warm bath, some painkillers, and get sleep!
