Answers:
Now don't panic,.. You might be suffering from generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) but it is 100% treatable.

I think you should try Effexor . I felt just like you did, crowds scared me, I worried about every little thing and had panic attacks. Then I took Effexor and my fears disapeared. It helped so much. You might want to try a higher dose, that is what I needed. I'm on 150mg right now, but the max is 300mg. You could up it.
Effexor is the best. It is also an anti-anxiety drug. Anything like Xanax or Valium will just work for a while and then you could get addicted to it. Klonipin is another one, but I think it is a bit better.

Zoloft is an older drug, it could work but it only works on Seretonin levels where as Effexor and Cymbalta work on Seretonin and Norphenephrine. Anyway, trust me, i was just like you and the Effexor worked.
I can sympathize. I was diagnosed the same way. After a battery of heart tests, they determined it was stress, etc. I was put on xanax for the anxiety. Sometimes, it helps to just find a quiet spot and pay attention to your breathing. It takes your mind off what is going on with your heart palps. I sometimes get more stressed out when I feel them, so again I just try focusing on something else.
I started working with my shrink on biofeed back and hypnosis about five years ago. It has been great. Within 6 months the anxiety attacks were pretty much history.
Honestly! I let the weight of the world go! I stopped caring about what I didn't need to be worried about, and only deal with what needs to be dealt with!
Please check with your doctor for a beta blocker. I recommend a cardiologist. It will put a stop to those upsetting but completely harmless palps. Also, check with a doc about an anti-anxiety drug (xanax).
You know is just maybe because it is anxiety, Just Learn how to breath properly learn how to take deep breath, not to much, Maybe your daily diet, Do you smoke, Do you drink to much soda, Do you think to many thoughts.Try to work out and try to relax
yeah..get all drugged up. that's the ticket to any problem.ha ha-ha..i'd say jus slow down and breathe it's all about your breathing habits. . or jus carry a brown paper bag.and breathe into it so'z u can stop hyperventilating. it's gonna b alright..i'm right here.ha haha .
yes i do and i am on clonazapam 2 mgs 3 x daily and i still get palps from time to time i just take in deep breaths and release and think of something pleasant till the palputations go away
I did before I changed my medication. some meds dont work well for certain people. Talk with your Doc about a different kind of medication. most of the time 2 different meds taken together helps. Did for me.
Yes I do and I am on Wellbutrin and Ativan. But I will only take 1/2 instead of 1 mg ativan when I have these panic attacks.I know these probably scare you but dear I have had these attacks for years. Ask your dr to put you on some medication like effexor or Xanax. You should not have to have these panic and anxiety attacks with all this new medication.I use to walk or take a old t shirt and rip it when I had these attacks until I finally told my dr and she fixed me up.She told me that I would probably have to take these meds all my life but I feel its better than being dead...
yup, i get them all of the time hun.had an ekg and all those tests. on top of being bipolar i have severe anxiety and panic attacks. i would say try effexor, but it sometimes doesnt work on people like myself and their are terrible withdrawls to get off of it.my advice would be to have your doc try u out on an antidepressant and then some sort of med like ativans or xanax to calm you down when u have an episode..good luck
