Is it rude to ignore the people in your group when your doing group work?

would you think i was conceited if you were in my group and we had to a job and i just ignored you all?

Answers:
Well, its certainly not odd for you to do that. Group dynamics can reveal those that distance themselves, speak to much, form cliques and ostracize others, and so on... Until the group has been broken down, by putting differences and preconceived notions of others aside, it will not work effectively.

Yes, you would get ostracized for it.
No because no one likes you anyway
Yes, its rude. Very!
yes.cuz it is a GROUP WORK.meaning you work with other people.it is not nice to ignore someone..
It would all depend on how will I understood that you had to get something done. If you excused yourself from the group and said that you would be back in 5 min then I guess all would be fine.
I think it is perhaps not only rude, but also, unproductive.
yes, it is try to treat other people the way you want to be treated.
No, if your working and need to concentrate, its not rude.
Yes, since other people are involved.
if they were bothering you about something besides what your suppose to do then no but if they had a question or comment about the subject then yes
It depends on who you really are inside. Some people are just rude, snooty, and don't like dealing with others at all. If you're like that then you may need a new job. Maybe you should just stay at home alone all day because that may sound better to you. JK. On the other hand, some people at work are just plain idiots and deserve to be ignored. Find out if its you or if it's them that is the problem. Time for a personal evaluation.
