What tips would you offer to a returned aid worker suffering from Re Entry Syndrome (Reverse Culture Shock)?

Answers:
Just take things slowly, don't expect too much too soon as far as reacclimating is concerned. It will happen.

I just returned to the US after six years abroad and it has been overwhelming at times. I found that big-box stores were just too much for me, so much selection it boggled my mind. I also found that I had to read every sign I saw just because I could!

Just ease into a routine and all will work itself out. I have been back in the US for seven months now and I am just getting to the point where everything seems "normal."

All the best!
Get over it.
