Wellbutrin?

Hi, My doctor gave me Wellbutrin 150mg for anxiety but when I read the meds literature, it says its for depression. Has anyone taken Wellbutrin for anxiety? Any sucess stories?

Welbutrin is an antidepressant that works well for anxiety. It is also used for people that wish to stop smoking with good results.

Yes I have, and it made me aggressive, and I had petite mall seizures from it. I had to stop taking it, they put me on prozac and I am fine. But my husband took it and I could not believe the difference in him, he was social again, and organized. I love the difference it has made for him, but its not for everyone.
I took it for depression, but I took Seraquill (an anti-pyscotic med) as a sleep aid.
Some meds work for different things.

it is used to treat a variety of things aniexty being one of them and it helps smokers quit smoking. It never did anything for me.. just made me grouchy and tired. but it usually takes 2 weeks for it to get fully in your system.. if after 2 weeks you see no change, contact ur dr. sometimes they like for you to give it atleast 1 month.
I took it to stop smoking. I noticed that I had less anxiety while I was on it and it also helped me to cut down on the number of cigarettes I smoked. Unfortunately, I had to stop taking it because after two or three weeks I broke out in hives, which means I was allergic to an ingredient in it. Give it a chance and if it's not working then tell your doctor.
When I took it, I couldnt tell I was taking anything. BUT, everyones different. Its for depression, but what it does is, it calms you. When youre in a situation or something that would normally make you uncomfortable..youll feel better, you wont have that anxiety. I hope it works for you, I know it can be tough finding what works for you.
Yes I took welbutrin for anxiety but it made it even worse for me and it also made me angry. If it doesnt work for you make sure to tell your doctor. It took seven different medications for me before I found one that works right. Good Luck!
I took it and it did not help me. Everyones different so you should give it a try. If it doesn't work tell your doctor, however it might be miracle med for you! Hugs! Von!
