i get lot of dreams.even in day time sleep also i get dreams. dreaming is good or bad i dont know. how to avoid.even it is good sign of sleep i think i must avoid it for mental health.valuable suggestions solicited from knowledgeble persons/physicians/pshycatrist. .

Dreaming is natural and dreams are usually not remembered. Nightmares can be remembered if one wakes up soon afterward.

Nightmares may be due to low blood sugar episodes in the night - as the brain may be trying to awaken the body to get nourishment (glucose). If you want to avoid nightmares, try eating some protein (meat) and a bit of fat (like almonds) and a cookie or cracker or fruit about 30-45 minutes before bedtime. That should give you enough glucose to last the night without nightmares.


I think you should be pretty lucky to have many dreams since I know many people who hardly get or remember any of their dreams at all. As said, they are natural and I don't believe there harmful at all.
You did not say if you were on medication or not. I am, and I found out that I dream more and remember more dreams than I used to.Some people are bothered by this extra dreaming it seems. I just got used to it when I found out it was my meds.
