Question on Drooling?

Does anybody know what kind of diseases and conditions that have symptoms of drooling in them. I'm just checking

Answers:
Brain conditions. This is a symptom of an inability to control oneself.

Many organic brain diseases can result in drooling. Strokes, for example, can result in the loss of voluntary motor control of the facial muscles. This results in the oral (mouth) muscles being loose for the majority of the time and can result in drooling. Many people, however, simply drool when they aren't paying attention.

Also, drugs and alcohol can induce a state similar to that of the stroke condition in that people not only don't pay attention to their mouths, but also the musculature around the mouth is numbed and out of control. Cocaine use can result in this type of drug induced drool.

Some people with severe or profound mental retardation will also drool, some due to the lack of awarness of the movement of the mouth, and some due to the inability to move the mouth muscles in an appropriate manner.

Many physical (i.e. medical) conditions can result in drooling, but they are numerous and for the most part quite rare.
