How do I stop drinking? on medication?
Answers:
AA is free hon.
also try forming a relationship w/ a new "lady luv"
First of all.there is only a "bar" in the house if you go out and buy the liquor to stock it. Second, there is no alternative to getting help. You cannot stop drinking by yourself. And AA won't cost you a DIME. It's completely free. Please try it---you have nothing to lose except all this pain you're in:

How about getting rid of the liquor in the house and get into the mindset that you cannot ever have another drink. Alcoholism is very serious so treat it seriously.
Make a commitment to go to AA, get a sponsor, and follow their 12 step program.
i have heard a lot of good things about AA. while it is technically counseling, it is 100% free and you will be in a group therapy situation with other people around you in the same place you are. all you have to do is find one in your area, go in, and ask for a sponsor. a sponsor is a recovered alcoholic that you can talk to and seek advice from as you go through the 12 steps. it is a very good sign that you have realized that you need help, and going to at least a weekly meeting should really help you.
I suggest educating yourself on the effects alcohol can have. And I mean really learning allot about this area: go to the libraries, read articles, look at biological specimens and images. etc You are then more aware of the choice you are making.
Another strange idea would be to put something vulgar tasting in your drink- like mix some salt with it.. Then force yourself to drink it. (I'm not sure if this will work- go with my first idea!)
