Last year a cop died because he drank too much water. Why don't more people kill themselves by drinking too

much water? Why would you want to strangle yourself or worse, stand in front of a train. That seems like a terrible way to kill oneself.

Drowning oneself with water is not a nice way to go.and a forced attempt at that.more people should NOT kill themselves at all.very very sad.I am sure he suffered.

Waterlogging yourself takes much longer to do, enough time to consciously think about what you really are doing. But most people die of that by accident, not intentionally.
drinkin too much water is hard to do, it is possible. but its not an EASY way out which i think is what most people look for. sad, but true.
drinking too much water IS painful. Most forms of death do involve some sort of pain.

The officer died from losing a lot of electrolytes due to sweating on a humid day after completing a 12 mile bike ride. The body's electrolyte balance was out of whack causing a rapid deterioration to death.

If one is drinking water and doing nothing, the body will correct the electrolyte balance by getting rid of the water first. Thus, drinking water is not a good suicide attempt.
That is an urban legend. It is impossible to drink so much water that you die.
wow. i never heard that you can die from drinking to much water.but well i guess the people who kill themselves in a terrible way don't have any idea about the water killing.

when u r angry u are hyper active.. ur blood presseur is high too. u just feel like throwing some thing or hurting the person besides. so u need to have a lotta ''patience'' to drink water, which at that instance u lack. so u just try jumping in the well or so..
