Are my Remeron side affects normal? Should I stick to it?
I was prescribed Remeron for not sleeping and for depression. I took 15mg before I went to bed and the next day, at work, am VERY sluggish/light-headed, even a bit clumsy. I have heard that the effects diminish after the first week, but am wondering if that is true for some/most people. My doctor said the tiredness will occur for up to 2 weeks. I'm not sure if I can put up with it for that long. It is very difficult to work feeling like this.

I was on remeron for about 4 months. It helped me and in the beginning I did feel sluggish, tired but it did get better in a way. After 3 months I noticed that I always felt light-headed, dizzy, I spoke to my doctor about this and he tried to convince me that it was an inner ear problem. No it wasn't, it is an effect of the medication, I also gained A LOT of weight on remeron, that is another side effect. I was switched to Lexapro and that helped me alot. I loved that medication. I hope this helps.
The side efects should get better within 2 weeks but when i was on it it helped me right from the start. I stopped on my own in fear of becoming dependant. I did not like the things i heard about it and i think you should do some research on remeron and see if you still want to give it a chance after.
Try the natural approach.
