Where I work they make 25-30$ per hour, in PA
In NJ about $80k a year. If he opens his own office , it would be higher.
First of all, make sure he knows that most schools, if not all, require a master's degree to get certified as a PT. That change became effective a few years ago and all schools will have that MS requirement very soon. Starting salaries are around 50k, but the ability to make more changes really quickly after getting 1-2 years experience under your belt. Most make 60k-90k depending on what city/state they work in. Others in management make well over 6 figures. It's a very stable career with a lot of opportunity. My wife happens to work in the field.
