Once, when I was hospitalized for extreme mania, I had to wear wrist and ankle restraints for what seemed like forever until some of the med's got me calmed down. Other than that, the worst thing can be boredom if you are in too long. There isn't much to do and the nights seem very long.
Having to go to one to visit a friend of mine who attempted suicide. I heard sounds I'll never forget.

I never really had a bad experience. I was in an eating disorder unit and as long as I followed the rules there weren't problems. I guess the worst experience was arriving mostly because I was scared and didn't know what to expect
i dont remember exactly what happened but i was tackled to the floor and given a shot carried into a room with a mattress on the floor,no sheets,no blankets,and locked in for 24 hours.
The wrst thing that happened to me was going home. I was in a great place and made alot of fiends I still talk to. I learned and got better. It all depends on the facility.
