Has anyone been sexually abused as a child?

I've been (aged 11-13) and it has made me shy of men. Is this normal?

i was at 5 and 11 by different men. im now quite shy specialy in the bedroom but not when im out im full of life but it has left its mark there are things i cant do in the bedroom as it reminds me of it. im now 36 and when i get sad or depressed it always comes back,im now on antideppresants which help,as it all came back laast yr. be stronge its up to u to live your life to the full and not let him win. good luck x

however u should get counsleing so u arent
report this person if you haven't done so already in the first instance. Abuse of any child is a criminal offence no matter what any one says, being shy or wary of men/women after you have been abused is very normal, getting treatment for the survival of this abuse is a must, seek counciling very soon or this may effect the rest of your life.

I think it just depends on the person. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a normal reaction (to be shy around males).
