If you have a bad feeling about the new doctor then don't go to him. Keep looking until you feel comfortable with whomever you have chosen. BUT you are basing your opinion on hearsay. You might actually like the guy.

Don't worry it sound like fun, he is either going to rock your world or show you is he off is his rocker.
I am in the process of changing psychiatrists myself because I think the last one paid TOO much attention to how I dressed and not enough attention to what I SAID. Even how I did my hair!
My last psych was Dr Bear but very nice and smart.
The new one I haven't met yet is Dr Grissett.
You can't help what your name is. Your new physciatrist may turn out to really know his buisness.. regardless of how he dresses.
Give him a chance first. He's done a lot of work and a lot of studying to get where he is and you only have that 1 opinion to go buy.
How would you feel if people didn't give you a chance?

Noone can make you see him ask to be referred to another psychiatrist if you do not feel comfortable seeing him but also remember you cannot rely on others opinions all your life he may be extremely good as a psychiatrist your cpn should keep their opinion to themself as they are being extremely unprofessional in tell you their opinion of this person. I suggest meeting him once and then decide whether he is the right doctor for you and maybe look at getting a new cpn.
