Has anyone who has been on Zoloft switched to the generic, and noticed a difference?
I have used Zoloft for the past 2 years and been just fine. I was offered the generic the last time I refilled and took it. It may be all in my head (literally) but I don't feel quite right. Anyone else out there have a similar experience?
Answers:
The generics are different. There are different basic ingredients in the pill itself that effect the metabolism of the basic drug. It is not your imagination.
nope, but I'm on zoloft at the moment, and I feel worse than I did before! sorry I can't be of more help!
I didn't know there was a generic!
I had a similar experience w/ Paxcil, the real one worked well, but the generic one gave me heart burn & made me gain 50 lbs.
Hmmm..you must be in the UK or Canada? We still don't have the generic version of Zoloft in the US (has to do with the patent). I would suggest you speak with your MD. If it's "all in your head" or not, the most important thing is to make sure you are feeling better! Perhaps going back to the brand name version would be useful.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
