Do you think my husband has OCD?

My husband seems to be obsessed with bad smells and tastes. Everything and everyone seems dirty to him. Suggestions?

Tell him he stinks.
that doesnt mean anything about ocd just that his particular taste doesnt like smell.. just like i never like it when people do a constant tapping or when their clothes dont match but that doesnt mean i have ocd
He should see a shrink, not sure it's a compulsive disorder he's having, but definately something wrong.
Does he realize that he acts this way? If so, try to get him to talk to his doctor about it. I had a friend with a similar affliction & it ended up being OCD with Social Anxiety Disorder. If he doesn't realize his behavior, talk to his family about it & possibly try an intervention. Other things could be going on in his head, too. Good luck!

Honey I hate to break the news to you but I believe that he does have OCD. I have been batteling with it for 30 years now and I will tell you it is no fun. When I clean the house it must be spotless or I freak out and do it over until I feel that it is clean. We with OCD can't help it things have to be just a certain way and he have the knack to be repetitive. My number used to be nine. I had to do everything 9 times. I now have the number down to 2 so i have to do everything twice for it to be perfect (check the locks on the door to be sure they are locked make sure the stove is off). Don't fret though there is a medication out there to help your husband if he has OCD it is called Luvox and it helps tremendously so does prozac unfortunately for me I was allergic to Luvox and prozac and i didn't get along. Try asking a psychiatrist for about the medication.
