Where can I find a mental health counselor online?

I don't have time to go to appointments - does anybody know a good, reasonably priced mental health counselor that I can "talk" with via E-mail?

Get on the internet and go the home page of your state government's website. They will have a listing of all departments of the state governement and this will include their mental health licensing division. They can provide you with names/referrals.
Also- go to www.APA.com which is the official website for all licensed pychologists.
Go to www. AAMFT.org which is official website for all licensed marriage and family therapists.
Go to www. NASW.org, official website of all licensed social workers.
All of these sites will gladly provide your referrals to licensed therapists in your area.

Most are quacks. Some have no credentials. Be careful and check the person out first. I have never heard of anyone recommending one, but I do know they exist.
i would think it would be very difficult to be a counselor via e-mail. I know that I rely alot on nonverbal cues and also intonation of voice. Alot can be misinterpreted through written communication. My recommendation would be to carve out time in your schedule so that you can do something productive for yourself. Put yourself first now, so you can be at your best for others when they need you.

not that i know of. it may not even be legal.i think its a state licensing thing. i have a friend who is a legal counsellor, but i think she can only counsel in her state of licensing. good luck - i could probably offer lots of advice,*having dealt with all manner of psych disorders) but i'm not a professional by any means.
