I was wondering whether people had information on Childhood Near death experiences?
When i was 2 years old i spent 5 days in the hospital in an oxygen tent with the croup apparently i nearly died and i have no recollection of the experience. Also a few years later i caught the same sickness and woke on night unable to breathe and i ran into the bathroom feeling lightheaded and i remember my thoughts being attracted to something abstract and egoless. It was my first out of body experience i remember. I was just wondering whether people who have these experiences are more vulnerable to mental disorders and illness. I think i may have sustained brain damage.
Answers:
That's strange because I often wonder the same thing.
When I was really young I fell from a balcony and got a skull fracture. I lost consciousness and died in the ambulance, but was brought back. I remember the experience as an onlooker, watching things from afar as they happened. who knows how if it was real or a way for my brain to cope with the tragedy.
Anyway, years later I wonder the same types of things you do, I feel like I may have sustained some sort of brain damage and often times feel a little insane. airy, lightheaded, strange, etc.
so from what my experience tells me is yes, we probably are for numerous reasons.
wow.
im in the uk and when i was born in the hospital the milk i was drinking had saminela food posinign into it so i had it for 1yr and i drank the whole milk so my mom wcouldnt sue them i was very pooly and i had it again when i was 5 or some raw egg in a restraunt but could not prove it
its happened to me too. i have chronic severe asthma and has some frequent fly er miles at the hospital too. when i was 7 i had pneumonia,a small concussion had had severe loss of blood due to a nice dog attack and went into an asthma attack when my mom (she is a single parent)went to talk to some doctor,i remember not being able to breath but was so weak couldn't hit the call button then the lights were distorted and i felt light i remember trying to move my hand but my body wasn't moving but i knew i was.i felt like i was floating then a nurse ran in and i don't remember much after that. But mental disorders i have not had i have had depression for eight years but that's it. but my immune system is very weak and i have to go to the doctors often to get some med that helps my anti-body's.if you think you have had brain damage ask a doctor, thees no other way to help your self
well, im deadly allergic to all antibiotics and when i was like 2 or something, i had biaxin and i turned like realy red, passed out, stopeed breathing, and my pulse went down. later the samething happen to me. now i think i might suffer from depression
Don't admit to brain damage in here, some people will be mean to you. I have a question, what is a bodhisattva ? Thank you for giving me best answers.
I have not had a near-death experience like that, so I can't give you a good answer this time.
