Worrying is not only uncomfortable, it is detrimental to your health.. You are actually preventing the release of a chemical within the brain. One that is intended to make you feel good. Why not try thinking of others, who are much more in need of help than yourself. When you can get your mind off YOU, things seem to taper off a bit and you will feel much more normal.
As being a child or by seeing your brain intake someone or something die or became very ill. Sounds as if that person never took care of the problem early enough to cure it. To late! So get regular check-ups and take care of your self . It is always a great idea to see what that symphony is about then not. Better to be safe than sorry.
I used to get irrational fears that horrible things would randomly happen to me. If I would sit under a ceiling fan, I'd imagine and almost convince myself that it was on the verge of falling and nailing me in the head. If I wanted to go to the grocery store in the wee hours of the morning, my brain would imagine a serial killer waiting outside for me. If I was driving down the highway, I would imagine all the various ways that my car could malfunction and kill me. If I.you get the idea.

I don't have that problem anymore, and it wasn't solved through medication or therapy. It just took a lot of hard internal work and patience. There are Freudian psychiatric terms for what I'm about to say, but I like saying it my way...I look at the mind as having two parts: the wild part that does and thinks what it wants without so much as a by-your-leave, and the rational part that knows better.

Now, when you get a headache and start to think you have a tumor, I imagine there's a part of your rational mind that knows better. Sure, it's possible (just like it was possible that the ceiling fan really *would* fall and kill me), but the odds are high enough against it that it shouldn't be an issue. The hard part is taking control of the rational part and confronting the irrational part.

In my case, that meant deliberately doing the things that terrified me, all the while telling myself that nothing bad was going to happen. It's hard, but it's like breaking an addiction: eventually, the irrational thoughts and impulses became less and less, until, finally, they stopped altogether. Sure, I still imagine bad things from time to time, but with the new habits I formed, those periods are easy to get over.

Basically, in a nutshell, my advice would be to brainwash yourself. When you feel paranoid or terrified about what's going on inside of you, force yourself to face the fact that, in all likelihood, there really isn't anything wrong. A headache is just a headache the vast majority of the time. If you keep at it, eventually the irrational part of your mind will take the hint and stop trying. As I said, it takes work and patience and the willingness to willingly ignore your (impulsive) fears, but it's ultimately worth it.
Sounds like OCD.you made need to see a therapist.think about whether this is the only thing you are obsessing over. I know you are concerned about your health, buty do you fgind yourself starting to worry about your friends and family's health and safety as well?
you should do something that makes you feel insignificant in your stance with the world. go on a crazy hike through the grand canyon. go skydiving. you might find that your world is too small compared to yourself, so yourself seems too substantial.
