Psychology/Therapy game suggestions?
We need to create a game for psych class that can be used with children, adolescents, or adults. It can be a board game, cards, etc.. any ideas?
Answers:
Use Uno cards and the color feelings (yellow=happy, blue=sad, green=anxious, red=mad) and every time they lay a card down they have to talk about something that made them either happy, sad, anxious or mad.
some type of coloring game
maybe like which color would you choose to express ____ or draw this! kind of game
it works with all ages regardless if they have artistic abilities or not.
In my psy class, we perception game. We would use flash cards with names of the different colors. However, the name GREEN would be written in blue, or red. Everyone would be told to yell out the actual color of the ink rather than the written name.
There was also the memory game. In some instances for thirty seconds you would tell students to look at about 10-15 words written on the board for one minute. After the minute was up, you would have them write down whatever things they could remember. It is best to make some groups of words that are related to each other in some way, Ex: coffee, sun etc. And then about 4 or so words that have no relation to each other. It shows the word assciciation our brains use to remember.
