how many years of collage does it take to become a mental hospital nurse?

Answers:
four to 5 years if u want to get bachelor's degree...and then practicing nursing at a psychiatric setting

5-10 years
do you mean a psychiatric nurse? to work in a mental hospital you can be an lpn or an rn. an RN license takes about 2 years to get while an LPN is about a year. Psychiatric nursing is an RN with a extra study in mental health. so, it would take probably about 3-4 years to become a psychiatric nurse. why not go all the way and become an ARNP with prescription authority meaning you can prescribe meds. good luck
I think 4 years because my friend mom it only took her 4-5 years!
depending on the state,..sometimes it only takes 1 year to be a LPN.
in the mental hospital where i had clinicals there were CNA's specially trained in this area and it took less than one year, the only thing that i witnessed the RN's doing was handing out medicines. the tech's (they called them) held group meetings and took vitals
