Why is it?

That depressed people always feel happier when it is stormy and down pouring?

Answers:
It makes them feel good because thats how they feel inside.It looks sad and thats probably how they feel.

gloomy weather makes them feel right at home.
the rain reminds them of tears as in crying
They like when the world slows down around them. To see everything moving along when they can barely function throughout the day is even more depressing for them. They like having a reason to retreat and go inside and bury themselves under the covers.

Anyway, that's what I was thinking. I could be wrong.
Rain and storms give them a reason to be so isolated. Ah, nobody is coming to see me because the weather is so bad.

It also is a distraction that keeps the mind doing something.
i think its because most ppl dont like that kind of weather and get depressed by it. and they say "misery loves company"
maybe it makes the depressed person feel more like others understand their feelings or can identify what they are going thru.
because they are the opposite of happy people
i think bcoz when they see trouble every where they forgot about their own and
get involved in the strom
this is the first time I have heard this one however it is not true for me. perhaps you are the depressed. bad weather is depressing for all I up my med when i get depressed and will feel better.
Yes I do suffer from depression.
Because rainy days are more relaxing. At least, for me they are. The sound of rain can be quite soothing.
I used to be like that.. but not anymore. Constant down cast and rain tend to make me feel more depressed.
Since more people tend to be "down" on rainy days, a depressed person may feel as if they're not all alone in their sadness.
Its more of a psychological feeling.
