In Alaska there are polar bears, who after a long, long winter will "do it" with male or female bears. Cold and lonely make you do funny things. Those that do it with either sex are known as Bi-Polar Bears.
my mother has bi polar disorder and she just got remarried. she sometimes has issues dealing with work, but overall she is very well adjusted. i believe that she is taking medication, although i cannot remember the name of it..it might be paxil, but i'm not sure
Most bipolar people bounce around from job to job until they are finally diagnosed. Some can work and some can't. The ones that do well are the one's that stay on medication. Some medications are better than others and it takes a while to find the right one. Lithium and topamax are two medications that I've heard about. I take topamax, because it does not cause weight gain.
I am bi-polar an I am still trying to figure it out.

3)bi-polar has made a big change in my life alot. I can not drive ,I can not work. I have to have a nurse come nurse come check on me daily..you see with my type of Bi-polar I see things that aren't there, I have voices, and sometimes I complete lose a day or two.
Yes, I do have Bi-polor disorder and I am also in a long term relationship and I am very successful at my job. I am taking Depakote ER and have been for quite some time now. The problem I had when learning to deal with my BP was the information you find on line and from your doc is not very helpful. Its all so how you should feel and just clinical mumbo jumbo. Part doing day to day functions when you are Bi-polor is factoring in your moods and indecisiveness into EVERYTHING you do. Stay prepared and don't let it get the best of you. Learn to deal with you mood changes in an acceptable way. Also be open with those around you including your partner and employer.
look up bi-polar on webmd.com, that website has great information about symptoms, treatments, etc.
