My daily routine is the same as anyone else, only with daily medication and occasional doctor and therapy appointments thrown in.
Routine?! It's nice if we can stick to one and most of us can and do but sometimes we tend to go into like a freeze mode, get sleepy or withdrawl from society this is only sometimes! Even if we have routines just like anyone else we can get side tracked by others and sometimes more easily then someone who doesn't have bipolar. Meds at times can make things worse then if we weren't on any at all, it all depends on the person. When we are manic we can accomplish a lot and can stick to routines sometimes better then any one else. Some of us have jobs and families and therefore have to stick to routines no matter what the cost is to our health, others want to work but can not. Everyone is different and bipolar in each person also differes. It just all depends on the bipolar, the person and how balanced we of are whether or not we stick to routines well or not. A person without bipolar vs a person with bipolar when it comes to routine and other things- some bipolar people are more resposible and dependable along with more loyal then someone who isn't. We are no different then a person without bipolar we just have to do things differently and we need understanding from others who are not. We tend to let words hurt us, the worlds problems, along with the peoples problems around us bring us down and sometimes there doesn't even have to be a problem or a reason we are just down that is the embalance...Just b/c a person is more sencitve or more emotional then others doesn't mean our routines have to be any different then anyone elses; yes true if we are caught up in our bipolar and the chemiacles don't balance and if we don't do anything to help ourselves out and have a poor sysytem of support then we are at our very downest state and our bipolar controlls us unableing us to work at times. It can be managed, tolerated and conquired with much determination and dedication to ones self and to the illness.
