when i take it i am generally a little groggy in the morning for a few hours, but otherwise i've never had any other side effects. The earlier in the evening I take it, the less tired I feel when I wake up the morning.
all i know is that it makes you sleep a lot

I love trazedone. Been on it for years.It causes drowziness and can cause snoring beacuse it puts you out!

Trazodone was supposed to make me sleep. It made me even more of an insomniac and it made me feel as if a huge chunk of my brain was on pause. I overdosed on it one night and had some very interesting hallucinations as well as difficulty breathing and a rapid heart beat and eventually passed out. I was unable to stand up for the next 36 hours.
I couldn't handle it. When I would take it the sleep would come on so fast that It freaked me out! I felt like I was losing my breath and I would try to fight the sleep for several hours. It was so creepy! I felt out of control. I even tried to cut the dose in half, but that didn't help either. Four days of trying trazadone was enough for me!
