What is worse depression or anxiety? Cause at this moment l feel like l'm suffocating and l cannot breathe.

Everything that could go wrong today has, my heart is racing and l just want to scream, but l'm afraid people will think l've lost my mind. I'm on the verge of insanity and l don't know what to do ?

Answers:
I have experienced both..I don't really know which is worse they seem the same to me..even thou it may not be for other ppl.

anxiety prevents me from some academic things like public speaking and test writing properly. My nerves get out of whack and i feel like fainting or passing out.

depression , well i don't feel like doing anything at all. Two words: no energy. I guess that I am more prone to suicidal thoughts as opposed to anxiety.

You can talk to a counslor about this. I have talked to a counselor about depression, and a learning stragetist and a study skills tutor about anxiety. I feel like i can cope betterbecause of those. Otherwise if all else fails then see a doc.

Take it easy! Take a few deep breaths! What's bothering you? Have you had a traumatic event recently? You were suffering from an anxiety attack. I've been through that. You might want to consider professional help, for your own safety AND sanity! If you really feel that bad, please allow me to help you. I swear on my kids I'm not offering to help you for the points, I'm offering to help you because when I needed help, it seemed like nobody wanted to help me! I know what it feels like. Best of Luck! Tony
From what you're describing, it sounds like you're having an anxiety attack. Anxiety can cause your heart to race. The fact that you feel like screaming sounds also like anxiety. When you say you can't breathe, do you mean, your throat is closing?
I'm asking that because I have panic/anxiety disorder and when I have panic attacks, my throat closes and I have to gag. Try to take deep breaths. That will relax your throat. If this is the first time this has happened to you, perhaps it's just isolated. If you continue to have this, you really should see your doctor. I'm not joking. Anxiety and depression sometimes go hand in hand.
Take good care of yourself.
Don't know which is worse. But you need to breath. Take slow breaths. Breath in slowly to a count of 8 or 10 and breath out very slowly to at least a count of four. Do this at least 4 times. When ever you feel anxious remember to breath and it will calm yourself down. The more you do this when you feel anixous, you will eventually do it before you need to and thus keep your anxiety level lower.
Pending on the level of depression or anxiety, you will need to take a moment to stop all activity , calm down , fine a quite place to sit for a moment. once you have regain control try the following
1. focus on the things that cause all of this chaos to run through your mind.
2 write these things down
3. on each thing you have written ask your self
Honestly and truly Do you have any control to make change for the better
if not acceptance maybe what you are struggling with, acceptance does not mean you agree what had happen only that you acknowledge the challenge at the moment.
What are the choices you can think of to resolve the challenge.
what are all of the possible out come from your choices
Pick the best choice and outcome and follow through with it.
I hope this was help full ,
Live in the moment do not have one foot living in the past and one foot living in the future you will only piss on this moment and
and only bring on more chaos.
Take care I wish you the best
1. Focus
2. Acceptance
3. Choices
4. Outcome
the formula to either chaos or peace of mind is and it up to you based from your individual feeling and choices.
Chaos = F+A+C+O
Peace of Mind = F+A+C+O
If you know what is causing your anxiety, this helps a lot. Go and do

what you think would cure this.

If you have no idea what is causing this, relax. write down how

youre feeling and cry! After crying and getting it out you might feel

less upset. After this set your mind on something else- watch

television or take a hot bath.

Hope you will feel better, and good luck!
It seems as if you are in a pretty tough place. Take some deep, cleansing breathes. That is Breathe through your nose, and hold it for a few seconds and release it slowly through the mouth.

Turn on some dance music and dance to your hearts content. It will helpyou feel good and lift some of the anxiety that you are experiencing.

You might want to seek out professional help. It will give yu some one to talk with and help you manage your anxiety.

Ihope you feel better
i got a lot of help by listening to Bronwyn Fox.
hope this helps.
Anxiety is the top one ,Because first is the depression or the low self esteem, your mental mind actually changes for days the depression starts building up on one. Some people become Sad and star think about what makes theme depress. For days you put your self in a hole you tell your self " I am in a dark hole. "Is like your mind climes down a ladder to a deep hole. Anxiety is the deep dark hole but the ladder disappears and you actually star tripping out with symptoms that your tell your self "whats going on, this does not feel good, I want to leave this hole "sickness". But that is what actually a hole feels shity, So Anxiety is worse . If you want to scream Grab a pillow and scream in a pillow let every thing out. And now you know how the Mind is a very powerful tool. Hey theire's people who actually suffer Physical from the ther body.
Honey I would say that the anxiety is worse than the depression. Maybe you need to be put on an anti-anxity med.
