I got spiked in the head like 6 hours ago and my head still hurts.?

Before our volleyball game, the best spiker on our team accidentally spiked me in the head (on the side of the face) and it felt like my brain shifted and it hurt so bad. Its been like 6 hours since that happened and my head still hurts - not where I got hit but like inside my head.

Any ideas why?? And when it will stop?

i would say you have a concussion, a minor one. I would go to the E.R. and get a scan of your brain seriously, and yes people have died from going to sleep from a concussion, but more then likely you may slip into a comma..not a good thing. I got a concussion, got the scan, and my mom had to wake me up like every 30 minutes to make sure i wasn't in a comma..pretty scary! Go to the E.R. or doctor if its daytime where you are. you need to be careful for the next 24 hours

You may have a concussion. I'd go to the emergency room immediately. Whatever you do, don't fall asleep until you have it checked out, please.
Your parents should take you to the Emergency Room. You could have a concussion. You definitely shouldn't go to sleep if you feel like this. Tell them how bad it is for you. Good Luck! Take care!
you should put an ice or go to the hospital and ask for your condition
You need to go RIGHT NOW to an Emergency Room or doctor's office to have an xray or MRI of your head.you may have a concussion or other injury and waiting is not sensible. You may be fine, but you still need to check it out now! Best wishes.
If the a bump came out of the area that was hit you should okay. If you are having any blurred vision or double vision you need to go to ER pretty quickly. Sometimes you can have minor concussion/bruising and having it looked at is the safest thing to do right now.
lol that was pretty funny thanx for the laugh.
Go see a doctor.
Velocity injuries have a coup/contra-coup effect where the internal organs bounce around inside the body cavities (in this case, the brain inside the skull). This can lead to serious internal injuries, including bleeding on the brain. If it still hurts six hours after the initial injury, that's a clue.
Go see a doctor
It does sound like a concussion. I'd advise that you see a doctor immediately; immediate action could possibly prevent something more serious from happening.
Go to ER and have it checked ASAP.
Believe it or not your brain can actually be ripped from it's place inside the skull. And this can be fatal. Though you probably just have a really bad headache or mild concussion.

Try some aspirin first. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded or sick to your tum tum, seek a doctor immediately.
Go to the emergency room now, you probably have a concussion. Ask your parents to take you to the emergency room.
You probably have a concussion. Don't go to sleep. Go to the ER right away.
Hey, I seriously think you ought to get some help, maybe you could ask your parents, neighbor or friend to take you to the doctors or emergency room to get checked out. Don't panic, but head injuries do need to be taken seriously as they can be dangerous, even though the victim may not think so. If you are on your own and cannot get anyone to help, I suggest you ring the hospital and ask to speak with the nurse on duty who will give you advice or if you live in Victoria, call the nurse-on-call on 1300 60 60 24 and they will tell you what to do. It is better to be safe than sorry so maybe you should get the all clear before bed tonight, take it easy
