would you discriminate against a schizophrenic for a job?

I have had unttreated schizophrenia since age 14.

I would like to think I wouldn't discriminate against anyone.

I think some people would discriminate if people's lives are at risk (for eg in a job in the Emergency Services (Ambulance, Medical Staff, Fire Fighters, Police).

discrimnation is not allowed. but don't expect on getting the job either. most likely you WILL be discriminated against. however they will not tell you outright, but expect it.
I would not give an untreated schizophrenic a job. But I wouldn't consider that "discrimination".

Yes to a degree. You would have to take meds.I would want assurances that you were taking the correct meds.,that you never went off your meds,and that could could perform the job just as well as the other applicants for the job.

Go see a doc. and get something to control it.then look for a job.

as an employer, id hire them in a trial basis and if they seemed
stable anough, id hire them full on.
why dont you get treated for it? im sure its scary, but its the 1st
step 2 recovery.

hell yea I would, and so would you if you didn't have this problem. But it wouldn't be discrimination - it would be exercising good judgment. "Untreated" means you NEEEEED to go see a doctor, and take the medicine. Good luck honey.
