Having trouble sleeping, I can't remain calm!?

Is there anything around the house maybe that can help me out... I can't remain calm. I need something because I can't sleep. I have not been sleeping for a day now because I am nervous. Any ideas to get me to calm down so I can sleep?!

Chamomile tea is excellent. Also honey has a calming influence. Put the radio on quietly to get your mind of what you are thinking about. Try doing an exercise workout a few hours before bed time, so your body is tired. Reading a few pages of a book usually works for me. Best wishes.
Can you get a prescription for ambien?if not, maybe just tylenol PM?
Try some cammomile tea, a hot bath or if you must some gravel (yea, the pink motion sickness medication) or bennedryl.

You don't want the tylenol PM because the tylenol can damage your insides if you use it too often.
Stuff I do or use:

Tylenol PM, Nyquil, Hot tea with lemon, eating a lot of carbs, a glass of wine, writing, having a really intense conversation with someone that is draining, armomatherapy candles (use to calm you, you can also sit and stare at it, lol)
Depending on your age.a 5 oz glass of red wine at night is calming and very healthy...as long as it's just 1 glass.
do what my grand mum did, just put a tid bit of Tylenol down the good ol' throat and you'll be sleeping as calm as ever mate.

try some either meditation and some sleepy time tea no caffiene after a certain point in the day. maybe if you have some melotonin, even try a hot relaxing bath. if none of that helps go the nearest store that is still open and see if you can get some unisom. and if you are still not getting any rest you should call your doctor and see if they can prescribe some sleeping meds. i use ambien it works great. good luck
I have found that changing where I sleep or changing the direction I am lying down can help put me to sleep when I am restless. In addition to this, focusing on breathing helps to put me into a meditative state, whilst giving me something else to focus on other than random thought noise.
have a cup of warm milk or cocoa. The milk should help you relax.
Benadryl - regular dose should work in about 30 minutes.
