need info about adderall,please help if you know this answer?

my 16 year old daughter has autism the doctors just put her on adderall shes on her forth day she has a small cold about a day now what can i give her for the cough that wont affect her the instructions on the adderall say no cold medicine that have sugar caffeene im lost and dont know what to give her does anybody know ?

Adderall is a strong stimulant.. many cold medications contain pseudo-ephedrine which is also a stimulant. The best thing to do is to talk to your doctor. He can recommend something that wont have any negative interactions with the Adderall.

warm lemon water..the cold will pass...the adderal could be building up mucus in the sinus' and if so that will pass in several weeks.
I give my 12 year old Tylenol Severe Cold capsules. That way there is no sugar. I am of course assuming if she takes adderall that she can take pills. I hope this helps. She is on the same medication and for 2 years there has not been a problem.
call a 24 hr pharmacy like walgreens and ask to speak directly to ther pharmacist. they will help you with an over the counter medication suitable for her. taking medical advice from a non professional could be dangerous.
