PEDOPHILES.At what age do they stop their activities?

I wonder if they ever get too old to want to victimize children.

According to criminal files and psychological studies, there is no such thing as being too old. Pedophilia can start at any age and continue throughout the lifespan. This is unfortunate. Some states have legislation that prohibits known child molesters and other sex offenders to be registered as such, and in some cases they are even prohibited to live within a certain distance of schools, playgrounds, and other places where children congregate.

I doubt it. For many of them, it's a compulsion. As long as they're conscious, they'll be looking for children to molest.

They usually stop when they get caught and put in prison. They often/always start up again when you get out. It's not a very "cureable" disease.

I think they die first. Had a friend whose gramps had been convicted of this. When he got out, he was pretty old, but he still warned her that if she ever came in the room and he was there alone, she should leave immediately, because he thought she was beautiful and he didn't think he could control himself even though she was his grandchild and he loved her very much and never wanted anything to happen to her but he couldn't help his thoughts. So, according to him, you should NEVER think they are too old for that. It's better to be safe than sorry. I know this is not an answer we would like to hear, but it's important that mothers (and others) know this so that we can protect our children.



He did die, about 8 years ago, but he warned her to be careful right up till his death.

In my opinion, something has caused pedophiles to become "hardwired" to their deviant desires - which then leads to their behaviors. It is unimaginable to me that somebody would willingly "choose to want to" be a pedophile since it is so directly against what is good

based on that and on the rate of recidivist (repeat criminal activity) I'd have to say that the urges rarely or never go away, and that the behavior unfortunately will follow

might be easiest to imagine one's own (hopefully normal) sex drive, but directed to the wrong targets
