Answers:
You won't be able to concentrate as well and it may make driving more dangerous.

Apparently severe sleep deprevation can kill you as well!!

I'd advise seeing your GP and getting something to help you sleep. Body needs time to recharge.

Side effects? Insomnia is not a drug, moron.
Tiredness
Of course there are going to be problems and you need to get at least eight hours of sleep at night.
other than seeing a doctor, which is the best advise I can give you, you can try Valerian, or Melatonin both natural and found at health food stored.
If you are having a hard time getting sleep, over the counter sleep aids are fairly safe. The best thing is to sleep 8 hours and no more. Oversleeping can actually make the problem worse.

As for side-effects, tiredness, lack of concentration, and irritability are common. You will not die from not sleeping well, and probably, you are getting more sleep than you think, but not enough to keep your body happy.
increase in motivation, confidence and will power, u will be able top fly over the cluds as fast as fish..
Irritibility, fatigue, lack of concentration, poor judgement, weight loss, nausea. These are all symptoms of lack of sleep. If you arent getting enough you could experience all or some of these.
Side affects, apart from the obvious being tiredness. Ummmm i would say loss of appetite, being cranky, loss of co-ordination and concentration. Theres probably a few but i think they are all quite obvious. Death is the extreme one
It can slow your thinking process, and you will fall alseep when you not supposed to! Try to sleep or you could hurt someone else or yourself.
Lack of sleep can cause problems with appetite, heighten stress and anxiety, physical reactions (headaches, stomach troubles), give you the shakes, stop your reaction times, blurred vision, hallucinations

If your so tired, it can give you living nightmares - read that somewhere. Think they mean the hallucinations and distorted thoughts.

Stop eating cheese before you go to bed!!
Sleep deprivation impairs your ability to think, to handle stress, to maintain a healthy immune system, and to moderate your emotions. Total sleep deprivation is fatal: lab rats denied the chance to rest die within two to three weeks.

Concentration levels drop
Memory becomes impaired
Speech becomes slurred and fragmented
Mental reaction time slows
Decision-making abilities are compromised
Hallucinations are possible
Fine motor functions diminish
Muscle strength and endurance drops, in part due to lowered glucose metabolism
Appetite tends to increase, which can lead to weight gain
Indeed it will. Your body needs sleep to repair itself. Usually, Insomnia is caused by stress or by disturbances in the normal sleeping/waking cycle. Insomnia can occur when you first go to sleep, or may manifest as restless sleeping or early awakening.
Headaches, shortness of breath, daytime tiredness, muscle pain, or difficulty concentrating are some of the symptoms that can be caused from insomnia.
that answer from jessiekatrop or whatever her name is so so wrong she doesn't know ****. There are side affects from insomina:
You get irritable
Angry
can't concentrate
don't enjoy things you used to

now physical apperances if you don't get sleep your body doesn't have a chance to repair itself you get spots, bruise easily, pick up infections more. these are just a few.
Get to the doctors as the longer you go without sleep the worse the symptoms, you can have delusion episodes basically you can go insane. GET TO THE DOCTORS or your body will crash and you will have your job cut out for yourself.
Since I suffer from insomnia as well, this one should be easy for me.
Side effects of insomnia:

Loss of concentration,
Loss of energy,
Loss of sight, (sounds wierd, but true)
Loss of balance,
Loss of memory,
and the most important; you just can't get to sleep, whatever you try to do (been there, done that :( )

There are actually a few more effects, but to be honest, I just can't remember them..

I hope this helps a bit
Mood swings, lack of concentration, weight loss/gain, irritability, hallucinations, impared judgement and coordination, anxiety, warped perceptions, physical illness. Death.

Yes, sleep depravation is bad for you. This I know.

If you deliberately stayed awake through the night because of nightmares then you have issues that should be addressed. E-mail the Samaritans.
You will feel very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very tired
no sleep.
hallucination!
you can get help with the nightmares, use the tinternet
I suffer from Insomnia and it has'nt done me any harm
The body does require time for rest as this is the period in which there is repair, restoration and growth. The side effect is potential fatal and I would seek help.
if i were u i would try to find out what's causing the nightmares, see a psychitrist or a hypnotist, perhaps they could help.
i too have it
