How to get out of a nightmare that comes to u almost every night just like in "NIghtmare on Elm Street"?
Answers:
Recurring dreams are significant. Try to find out what it means. Also, this recurrent nightmare could be an indication that you need to talk with a professional counselor or doctor. It couldn't hurt and it might help.
You have to realize that you're dreaming. Then you can be like, hey, this is my dream and suddenly have a flamethrower or something to beat the beasties.
What do u mean?? like a reoccuring nightmare?? try change your sleeping habits, maybe swap your bedroom around??
pray, its prolly satan trying to scew around with u and get u to freak out. nothing in ur dreams can hurt u. so just trust that God is better and bigger (which HE is)
It is important to understand what dreams are. there are thos who beleive that dreams are a way for God or someother spirit to communicate with you. This may or may not be the case. More than liekly this is how your mind is dealing with a situation in which you have not confronted the issues.
There are several things to consider. The short term answer is to occupy your mind with other thoughts- I know this is easier said thandoen, but a good trick is to read a book befreo you go to bed at night- This will engage your mind into the story line. You tend to dream about the last thing you are reading/watching/ or listening to at night.
This is not the best solution- this is only at best a way to bury your thoughts and to avoid the issues that your mind is bringing to your attention.
The best solution is to consider the dream itself. What is going on in it? What are your feeling when you relive it? Who are the amin charactors in it? How do they make you feel? When did the dream first start? What events occurred around the time the dream first appeared.
Think back. The charactors of the dream usaully represent people or things in our lives. If you can identify the feelings of 1 characotr with someone or something then you have made a connection. The conneciton of what the thing in your dream referrs to in real life. Once you have done that then you need to ask yourself why you feel this way about this thing/person.
Atthis time you need to be able to talk to someone you trust. A friend, parent, etc.,
Find some soothing background music to play in your sleep. Don't watch horror movies before bedtime. In fact pay attention to what you might be hearing in your sleep. (I used to dream of getting shot every Saturday after working a night shift. I discovered the source when I awoke to find my husband watching westerns containing much gunfire. ) If you believe in God, pray before bed time and ask God to make your dreams sweet. If the dreams continue, you might need to seek help, because the dreams could be symbolic for another problem in your life. Best wishes.
There is an obvious and powerful advantage to the Bible's advice: "Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God . . . will guard your hearts and your mental powers."—Philippians 4:6, 7.
There is a possibility that may occur your problem.
It is True that daemons assault human beings even with nightmares. So if you have any relation with the occult or spiritism you will suffer from nightmares and in the future from other worse things.
Jesus called Satan "the ruler of this world." (John 12:31) Satan and his demons have "great anger" over their impending destruction. (Revelation 12:9-12) Not surprisingly, those who have become involved with the demons have found them to be vicious. One woman in Suriname who grew up in a family that practiced spiritism saw firsthand how the demons "enjoy torturing their unwilling victims."#----- Getting involved with these cruel spirit creatures in any way is thus extremely dangerous!----
What does this tell us? That if a person wants to escape the clutches of the demons, he or she must destroy all paraphernalia related to satanic worship! This includes all books, magazines, posters, comic books, videos, amulets (items worn for "protection"), and demonistic material downloaded from the Internet. (Deuteronomy 7:25, 26) Discard any paraphernalia that might be used in divination, such as crystal balls or Ouija boards. Also, get rid of music or videos that feature satanic themes.
It takes courage and determination to take such bold steps. But the benefits can be great. One Christian woman named Jean% purchased a computer game that seemed harmless at first. As she worked her way through the game's levels, she discovered aspects of the game that had spiritistic overtones. Before long she began having ------------violent nightmares!---------------- "I got up in the middle of the night," says Jean, "and destroyed the game CDs." The result? "I haven't had any trouble since."
If you demonstrate real determination to break free, you will succeed.
Take care and dont be afraid or discouraged to do what is best for you.
