Many, many people now have bachelor's degrees. The unfortunate part about this and today's economy is that the BA or BS is now the equivalent of a high school diploma 20-30 years ago. Now, it seems that the Master's Degree (MA or MS) is becoming the gold standard for education for many jobs. Doctoral degrees remain the highest possible educational degree, and also remain few in numbers.
