How easy will it be for me to get a prescription for adderall?
PLEASE SPARE ME THE SMART ALECK ANSWERS ABOUT NOT NEEDING DRUGS AND BEING "LAZY"..
Okay i have determined that i am a good candidate for the use of adderall and i just need to know 2 things:
1) Do i go to a regular doctor or must i go to a phsychiatrist?
2) Will they laugh in my face because i have no prior record or diagnosis of ADD? (I dont want to walk in there, tell them my symptoms, and have them make me feel stupid by telling me i dont need medicine)
BTW i dont want adderall for "recreational" use, i am struggling through college academically because i cannot focus.in fact here i sit, it is 5 a.m. and i have a test at 8 a.m. that i have barely studied for because i simply cannot focus. Its not that i am lazy.. If i do manage to get started, the things i read dont absorb into my head because im thinking about other crap while im reading. So anyway. Thanks people!

Simply go to your family doctor and tell him / her that you feel this medication would help you and then tell the Doctor why. Ask the doctor if he / has any sample packs so you can give it a trial run before you have to shell out for it, as it may not work for you as well as another medication.
Most doctors will listen to you. I have a couple of heath issues going on and after doing on line research I felt that a medication "Lantus" would be of more benefit to me than the one he had me on. He gave me a vial in his office to test run, and when it started working FAR more than the other I was on, he had no trouble writing me for it.
I have a friend that was experiencing the same thing you are and it was not pleasant for him. He went to his PA and she gave him some, it worked like a charm for him, when he took it. He got it from a PA, so if a PA will prescribe it a Doctor most certainly will.
Personally, I don't believe in drugs as there are invariably undesirable side affects and addiction issues. There are plenty of books available and quite a few natural remedies. Have you considered ginkgo biloba? It has helped me quite significantly. Not only has my focus improved, but my recall is noticeably better too.
If you insist on drugs (please rethink it), either MD (family or psych) can prescribe it. But do read up on it first:

You will have to have a diagnosis. Regular doctor can prescribe. However, there are limitations with insurances ie. state.
I was candidate for it as well, but it wasn't covered so I got Concerta. Apparently similar. Seems to be helping I guess.
I had to give up college this time around from lack of focusing and was reminded I have enough stress in my life without adding deadlines and tests. Good luck to you..
BTW, I was going to give you what I think is a good answer on another question of yours but it was closed already and there is no link to contact you!
Easy even if you want it for recreational use. Just ask your doctor. They might refer you to a psychiatrist but, maybe not. It really depends. They'll probably screen you for depression and anxiety before giving you the adderall though.
