does our brain present aging as our body?
i want to know about the brain“s phisycal aging process
Answers:
Well, you need to go to PubMed and read about studies regarding the brain.
The brain does "atrophy" faster in some people than in others proven by CT. I have seen this in a 16 year old on "ice", and a 39 year old quadriplegic (three years after they became a quad), and a man 65 years old.
Everyone is different, what happens to you in life makes a huge difference. Traumas, your heritage, your habits - and many other things, cause it to change at different rates.
mine?? YES YES YES
What a fascinating topic!
The brain is subject to illnesses and aging as much as any other part of the body, but most people (really!) stay sharp all their lives.
I'm sure you can find any number of good websites on this subject, but be aware that WebMD is rather superficial, and won't be nearly as detailed (or as interesting!) as simply looking at the *full* Yahoo! directory under Medical: Brain and Nervous system.
absolutely every part of the human anatomy ages. Alzheimer's disease if the shrinking of the brain as part of the ageing process.
it's different for every one, as is physical aging. Reading other similar activitys help keep one sharp. It's kinda like another part of ones body if you don't use it you lose it. There are several drugs and herbs that help as with the body.. Ginko is cheap and really helps. The health food store will have that and many others. Diet plays a big part. Memory starts to fade in some at 40. others it never does. You don't have to worry about demintia cuz if you get it you won't care. Diseases find their way into the picture easier so immune system needs to be fed. Look up geriatrics.
