Answers:
Cancel your medical insurance and your doctors won't even see you, then you'll get better.
Second opinion.
risperdal is usually effective, but if you are finding it to be hindering you, there are many other medications for the same problem. I would suggest going to a new psychiatrist. If the doctor you're seeing ISNT a psychiatrist, then you're seeing the wrong doctor!
go get a new doc
Have you thought of see another Doctor? I was really messed up with all the drugs they had me on also. I finally just said "no". Youknow your body better than they do. Most times Doctors aren't even all that aware of the drugs side effects. Ask a Druggist about this type of medication and ask them if they know another drug with less side effects. Sometimes the "cure" is worse than the illness.I take it that this med is for depression. If this is true, try other ways to seek an improvement. Meditation, yoga, tai-bo, etc. causes a release of serotonin (the feel good chemical) we have in our brains. Try to make yourself feel better. Many times "we" make our own best Doctors. Good luck to you.
I had a problem with risperidone too. It made me feel weak like I had a constant hang over, and my mind was all foggy and when I spoke, I could hear that there was no emotion in my tone. I told the doc, but he said give it a chance, well it just got worse. i told him I wasn't going to take it anymore because I couldn't function. He switched my meds to zyprexa, which worked wonders, but made me gain too much weight way too fast. He switched me again to abilify. It's a great med. It doesn't give me any side effects whatsoever. I know several other people that had bad experiences with risperidone. Demand that your doc change your meds asap.
go to another doctor
