Answers:
listening to your heart means listening to your feelings, but the problem with that is: feelings change. which is not good when basing a decision on them. you have to base your decision on your mind and your consience.
Make a choice by your heart. My entire career path changed bc I was using "logic" to support a concept I wasn't even comfortable with. Now I have to rearrange my goals and that took precious time! Lots of people end up doing things they dislike or even hate bc it made some type of sense and they were miserable in the end.
I'm assuming it doesn't have anything to do with negative things like abuse/relationships. If anyone is not treated well, that's a great and logical reason to get out. :)
If you could provide further details maybe we could tailor better answers/ideas for you.
Then you might be making decisions without not enough info. If you feel conflicted with your mind and heart, in the decisions then do some more research on the issue. Look into it more, get other peoples opinions (opinions being the key word), make a pro and con list on the situations, then give your self some time to THINK about it and meditate on it. Then once you feel you've given yourself enough, sleep on it so you can have a fresh mind to decide. With some or all of these suggestions hopefully you can learn to trust yourself.
while taking a decision you listen to your heart because listening to your mind will get to you in more situations.
Whenever I've listened to my heart.. its got me in trouble
I try to listen with my head and stay out of trouble
most of the time it doesnt work though
it depends on the decision you have 2 make.
mostly listen to your heart.when he's calling for you! lol.but seriously.your heart will tell you wut you really want to do
i think honestly, you need to listen to both your heart and mind. they may be saying apposing things, but your mind tends to be logical about thing, thinks of all the options in a realstic way
while you heart takes the road of wishes. you need to think of the consequences of your actions before takng them, then decide whether it is worth it.
i do this but on average i still tend to follow my heart.
Can or are you able to take a vacation. Getting away from things for a while, can really help you get some perspective. Go somewhere new or somewhere you are familiar with where you could enjoy being alone or with a special friend. I don't know which would be best for you, but try to get away for a short while at least.
If you are doubting things constantly and feeling that you are wrong--Why? What bad came from it? Do you just feel guilty about what you thought was best for you or do you really think you made some huge mistake? There are differences in both. Maybe you should not be so hard on yourself and say to yourself instead that "I made the best decision at that time with the information that I was given. " You can only be realistic and understand that choices are just that. If you have made some unwise or unhealthy choices of whatever nature, then you can maybe patch things up, I don't know. But you can learn from those mistakes, if they are mistakes, and know that is the way that people grow stronger and more knowledgeable. Just because you made some really bad decisions does not mean that you can no longer make better ones. Have some confidence. Pray about it as well. Plus, maybe you should confide in someone who is unbiased like a counselor to help you understand how you make decisions and why. That may give you a better direction in my life. Good luck! :)
Listen to your heart. Some choices are hard to make. Your heart and mind will sometimes conflict, but always listen to what it is that you feel in your heart.
Follow your mind. you can not make descisions based on feelings.
Go with your heart, always go with your heart.
Both. you can't say one or the other. if your heart is telling you to kill someone and your mind says it's a bad idea. in that situation it's a bad idea.
You need to find balance. Going with your heart all the time sounds nice, but depending on the situation, it may go against the 'right' thing to do in our society and laws.
Just try to weight both options. And find a compromise between. Do what your mind tells you is rational without completely losing what your heart tells.
For example if you're with a friend who's about to drive drunk and your mind tells you to that being a good friend is not getting in a fight with them, but your heart says that it's wrong not to do something. Place an anonymous call to the police.
Not the best example, but it's almost bedtime so forgive me.
My point is that balance is key.
Ask yourself when you made all the wrong desicions in the past few months were you using your heart or head. Then start using the other one.
go with ur brains.(logic)!
Our heart is like a child ,It does not know which is good or bad,It wants every thing it sees. But the mind is like a parent. It thinks and acts. The mind should have a control over the heart. So decide as per your mind. Some times it is bitter but always that is better.
listen to your brain because heart will tell you things that you want to do but actually you should not. for eg-if you go to resturant and like a sweet dish there, your heart will say, just take it, but your brain will say, let others take first. now, which do you think is a better decision?
mind
when asking some one what they want to do i always ask:
what do you think you should do?
what do you feel you should do?
and what would you like to do?
this has worked many times for me. Just use a little of each. i always go with my first feelings on a matter and hey usually turns out to be right. i wouldn't say it was your heart tho. more instinct of some sort. if somethings telling you you have made the wrong choice change it !
Hope this helps
