i'm very depressed and i need help.?

does anyone know of any good hotlines or websites that might help me?
because no one else seems to want to help me before i do something stupid, like hurting myself.

i just got out of the hospital for depression! 1st you dont have to hurt yourself or kill your self! 2nd have you tried any medication for depression? that might help! but you have to realize that you can only change you! nothing in this world is going to change for you so your going to have to deal with that fact! try to find someone to talk to that will help a lot! if you think your going to hurt yourself please call 911 n tell them your feeling suicidal and they take you right to the hospital to get the help you need ! good luck wish i could help you more because Ive been where your at n its not a nice place too dwell!

You've taken the first step by recognizing your need for help. Look in the community pages of your local phone book for your local community mental health center, or call you local hospital for a referral. There is help out there for you and things can get better.
Go to www.nami.org website. It's the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. It's very helpful and you can find a local chapter in your home area for help, referrals, etc. They have a hotline number too. Good luck to you.

Try Covenant House hotline 800-999-9999. People who have never been depressed rarely understand how dark that place can be. I have stared in the face of that dragon and fought my way through to the other side. I know you can too. Remember that suicide leaves a permanent scar on those left behind. You may not realize it, but in cases of severe depression, our ability to think clearly is compromised. The solution to your problems might be very clear to someone else, but you just can't see it right now. I am so pleased you asked for help. Believe me, you can be whole again.
