You'll be fine. Pray she's ugly. Even if something shall we say "comes up" she'll completely ignore it.

I was with a boyfriend once during an exam by a female doctor. He got slightly aroused by being touched but that's perfectly normal. Docs see it all the time and there is no reason to be embarassed or distressed by it.
be calm and breath
Just relax! Ten seconds after the exam is over, she'll be concerned about her next patient.
That happened to me too on my first physical. Don't worry, it isn't that bad, and sometimes they don't even check it.
She is a doctor and yes she will have to check for a hernia - just focus that she is a doctor and that part of the exam will be only a few minutes - as professional she will help make this less embarrassing - remember your health is important and check-ups are key to making sure that you are and to find problems early -
First she'll check your blood pressure, then your heart beat and breathing, and after that she'll check your eyes and ears, and then maybe she'll have you bend over and she'll check to see if your spine is straight, and after all that's done she'll fondle your sack and then she'll put on a glove and squirt some clear lube on it just before she sticks her index and middle finger up your rear end.

It's actually quite fun.

There comes a day when all males have to become men. Your day is coming buddy, your day is coming.

I joke, I joke. You would probably be pretty amazed to realized that after a doctor has done a certain thing so many times, it becomes almost like washing dishes or brushing your hair, and isn't a big deal to them. It's just part of their occupation.

What is very much out of the ordinary for you and most other people is all in a days work for a doctor. They go to school for a very long time before they even get to step foot in a hospital, and once they become full fledged doctors they have done certain things so many times they probably couldn't count how many times they've done it.

I bet this is what the doctor does if she even decides to do any test that involve the male region. She'll probably have you disrobe from the waste down, while she's out of the room, and she'll give one of those stupid gowns to put on. After 10 minutes or so, she'll knock on the door to see if you're finished putting the gown on, and when she gets to that part of the exam, she'll probably just reach under the gown without ever looking at anything. Since you're only in there to get a physical, she'll probably only check for a hernia. It's very quick and easy. Don't freak out too much.

Oh, and she would really have no reason to break out the lube. That's normally for old dudes.
A doctor, regardless of sex, has absolutely no interest in a patient's appearance. A doctor will perform whatever test is necessary and then move on. I can remember back in the mid 60's when hospitals were crowded. I was admitted and there were no rooms available, so my bed was in the hallway. A nurse came up and said that she had to perform an enema test on me. I was quite nervous, especially since visitors were beginning to crowd the hallway. Finally I decided that my equipment was no different than anyone else's, so we performed the test. If you are really concerned one of your parents can be in the room while the physical is being performed.
like the saying goes " you seen one, youv'e seen them all "
If you get an erection, remember the saying. :)
Relax dude !
Just hope you aren't asked during the exam " What's up "" ?I wish I would have had women doctors when I was a teenager. Lucky guy, I was always envious of GYN doctors. I'm sure it's like a whore, you seen one , you seen 'em all.
just ask for a male doctor.
